Me: I have to run by the market on the way home.
Jonas: Great!
Me (suspicious): Why are you so excited to go to the store?
Jonas: I just like it. And maybe I could get one of those cookies they have there.
Me: How about you can pick one out to have after you eat a good dinner.
Jonas: How about I have half before dinner and half after dinner?
Me: How do I know you'll hold up your end of the bargain? I've fallen for this one before, Jonas.
Jonas: I'll eat my dinner, I will! Can I have the cookie?
Me: Why don't we just focus on what you'd like for dinner.
Jonas: Ok. But then we need to get back to this cookie situation.
